After reading this I'd like to suggest some advice to the reviewer, if they gave us(the viewers)all the answers up front then what kind of show would it end up being? - Predictable: like all the other shows on TV. Nobody wants that and neither should you, be patient and the answers will come in time(some sooner, some not).

I love LOST and really enjoy watching it, but I have to agree. I too, would like a lot of resolution. They just keep twisting the plot further and further. I think that this show could have really made it for a long time, but I could really see how it would be easy to lose interest. It is also almost impossible for someone to just begin watching LOST if you aren't a veteran, and I think that is why it's rating have so drastically gone down. I think that if they would unravel a good bit of the story then they might be able to reel in some of the faithful audience and at least not lose them.

Lost's ratings have not drastically gone down. They've gone down a little and that is partly becuase so many people have begun just to watch the DVDs. So for those who are impatient about resolution, you should watch the Season DVD in the Fall every year and treat it like a movie.

Meh, I like Lost. But still an interesting read and look at the show from a tired viewpoint, albeit one of a person who still sticks to watching the show.

Come ON! Give us a break! Here's what I THINK will wash it all up...remember Michael and his son? THEY GOT AWAY...was Michael so selfish with not one shredd of conscience that he would just let all those people stay in that situation with the OTHERS and just be LOST forever? NO WAY! I believe that soon the whole plot will start taking a turn for hope for the LOST crowd...Let's face it..they ARE going to get rescued by none other than MICHAEL with a crowd of planes, boats, guns and paramilitary men and women due to the fact that the OTHERS are involved in some sort of secret experiment with our government....in any event, I believe that Michael will be the one to rescue them and then? THE END! Until then, we just have to either continue to guess while we chew our already shredded finger nails from the producers cutting the show two months too early before Christmas...could you all believe they did that? or not watch it at all..choice is ours!

I am sure I saw an interview (or read it) with the writers that they have a show "bible" that is a very general open outline, but that they are also making a lot of it up as they go along. There are waaaay to many dangling plot-lines out there for them to be able to tie up neatly, and meaningfully; even with SEVERAL episodes devoted to doing nothing BUT tying up errant plot-lines!

It's funny how people always point to season 1 as the "golden era" of Lost. Remember the hatch? How long did it take them to freaking open it--13 episodes?
I blame ABC for this mess. They were far too indulgent and didn't pressure the writers to pick up the pace. And now it's too late. Goodbye, Lost.

I started watching 'Lost' about 6 months ago after renting the Season 1 DVD's. I was so intrigued and ultimately uplifted emotionally by the storylines which kept me coming back for more. The 3rd season is a little different from the prevoius 2 seasons. The story shifted away from the original castaways in order to keep it fresh and new. They introduced new characters and at the same time brought a bit more action and suspense into the mix. I think that the OTHERS should have remained more of an enigma and that their stories should have remained a mystery. Having said that, I am still very interested in seeing how the next 16 episodes will play out. The 'Anonymous Critic' seems like he/she is a person who is not really interested in figuring out the mysteries for themselves, but rather having the writers tell them everything just like in those terrible movies where the narrator unravels the plot at the end, for the people who did not understand what was going on the previous 120 minutes. I am not saying that I can explain all the secrets of the show, however I think that some things should be left unexplained because this is ultimately the reason why this show appeals to people like me who are for the most part creative thinkers. I would rather see viewers like the 'Anonymous Critic' not watch the show than force the writers to accomodate viewers who are just looking for that payoff at the end. The show 'Lost' is in my opinion the most creative and exciting show on TV and it has positively impacted many aspects of my everyday life. I recommend renting the first 2 seasons in order to truly understand and appreciate this groundbreaking show.

It's funny, I had the complete opposite reaction than the "Anonymous Critic." I actually found Juliet's story fascinating and it was balanced nicely with the forward momentum of the island story. The story actually did move forward this episode and didn't feel as stagnant as the mini-season did. I actually think LOST is finally back on track and I can't wait to see what the rest of the season has in store for us. A note to all the haters: if you find the show boring, annoying, uninteresting or stupid, then please stop watching it. It's as simple as that. It's a little tiring reading about how much people hate this show now, as if it's the "in thing" to bash it right now, yet they continue to keep watching it and continue to complain about it the next day. There are plenty of other shows on TV, why don't you check out another one and leave LOST to people who actually enjoy it.
