TWoP 10 Reasons We're Glad Summer Is Over
There are a lot of great things about summer. It's not cold outside anymore, your seasonal depression clears up all on its own, and you can give your Tivo a break because none of the important shows are on for...

Sure, this show may be somewhat depressing. But with this day in age, we should be in touch with reality and unfortunately this could be a reality. I feel like this show shows the human side of these characters, their flaws and imperfections in this time of despair. I, personally, am looking forward to seeing this show again. I hope America will agree with me for now

I honestly REALLY like this show. Yes, it's depressing, but being that I'm a Stephen King junkie, it's sorta right up my alley. Disasters really bring out the true colors in people, and with a disaster of this epic proportion, should make a great drama series, especially for the character development.

Did anyone watch the same show I did? This thing was horrible. I watched the first episode and that is the last I'll watch too. The acting was ok, but the writing was over the top and just plain bad. The characters were ridiculous and the plot was thin. Consider...
-a bomb goes off, and what is suggested? Paint over the town name on the cop cars... why? because apparently the rest of the world in one single day has devolved into Mad Max-esque squalor. What would these people have done during the NE blackouts? shot people driving thru town?
-You are driving over a bunch of obviously radioactive dead birds... what do you do?
A.) keep driving
B.) Turn around.. I mean its obviously radioactive
c.) Stop, get out of your car and wander around aimlessly bemoaning the fate of mankind.
If you chose C. then you should watch this show. Otherwise save your valuable time and go watch paint dry.

I really like the show, and I usually stay far away from CBS. Unfortunately, some parts watch more like a Hallmark or Lifetime movie and don't really develop as well as it could. Other parts try too hard for "Lost" style crypticness and only seem more like someone lost a train of thought.
Anybody under 25 years old wouldn't remember the cold war...
How healthy is the show if the official website took down the "Beyond Jericho", and has other dead connections on it? As much as I like it, I'm surprised it's not scrapped yet.

I really like this show. Don't you want to know why this happened and why a "former cop from Kansas City" knows morse code and has all those push pins in his basement? I do.

Jericho (or Jeremiah)?
I watched the show for the last two weeks and find myself wanting to keep watching it. I like the underlying story of the mysterious "know-it-all" and how anyone could possibly survive a radiation shower.
I love half of it but squint at the other half. The example of the women who stops her car (which was running, by the way) to see radiated crows--then let's cut to the next scene--she's walking aimlessly. uhhhhhhh so what happened to her car???? I think this show will be cancelled because of all the loose ends... unfortunately. The acting is great and the characters/actors are people you could really love/care for. They're all generally known good actors.
Anyone remember Jeremiah on Showtime? Loved that show also. They really kept the story line straight and filled all the gaps. I hope Jericho realizes this and fixes it. For instance, how to survive radiation poisoning...and what happened to that dang car.

Actually I kind of like the show. It's not nearly as contesious as 30 Rock. For me it's on par (maybe a copy of sorts) of Lost.

The first episode, was cliche ridden but showed some promise in some of the character situations and actors portraying them. THe second episode was so awful I was emabrassed to still be watching, until I remembered that I least I get to laugh about how bad it is. The third episode, even worse. I'm still watching but not because it's good. I'm watching because it's so bad it should be shown at the drive in theatre so everyone can loudly mock it.
The premise had potential but if the writers/producers don't dig themselves out of the ridiculous and unrealistic ruts they've made soon, this show should be toast. Which of course means it will las tlonger thn 7th "Heaven."

Such a great concept. The pi$$ poor acting performances by everyone but Skeet and Hawkins will lead to the demise of this show. I will be surprised to see it on after next weeks Fall finale. It does seem to be picking up but the overly dramatic emotional scenes make you cringe. All of a sudden you see Skeets mom run over by horses and that is suppossed to be intense???? Give us a break. i think they should fire all the producers and start from scratch..
