Great cast. Better than average writing. But how many hostage negotiations can you do on-screen before you run out of plots?

I like this show and I think Ron Livingston and Rosemarie DeWitt are great. I don't think the plots are an issue - its the same with CSI, how many scenarios of forensic investigations can you do until the show gets mundane and predictable - which it already is. I hope Standoff lasts this season because its I like to see new shows with great actors. Studio 60 is another one of my new favorites.

I really like this show. The cast is great, and so far the hostage situations have been interesting and entertaining. When it becomes completely hokey and dumb is when I'll stop watching.

I am a big fan of the always excellent Gina Torres, but I agree that there is nothing fresh about this show and that it will be the way the characters are developed that will determine if this show makes it to the end of the season & beyond.

I really enjoyed the dynamics between the two main characters; a lot of honesty..very refreshing. I'm not such agreat fan of Gina Torres..I don't get it?? She always has the same expression of her face..and for the most part she is completly unbelievable. I think that she actually compromised the the validity of the show more than the unbeliveablness of its sorry plots

I think all of you have interesting views. However I loved the show and the characters. It just amazes me how they can cancel a show like this but Jerry Springer has been on tv for over a decade. Why is that?
