Update: "Runaway" ... for Good.

It’s been described as “’The Fugitive’ with Baggage." “Runaway” is (or was) the story of a family living on the lam -- Dad has been wrongly accused of a crime he didn’t commit and can’t leave his family behind while he attempts to prove his innocence. And so began a saga that had great protential, however derivative.

It debuted on the Deathwatch at Number 21 out of 24, with odds of cancellation at 238. In the course of the last several weeks, it dropped to number 11, (odds 54:1) and back down to number 15 as of yesterday (odds 131:1) This morning, a report at hollywoodreporter.com revealed that the CW had called it quits.

It appears that as the fugitive family continued to find a place to land, so did the audience, and eventually, everyone stopped caring.

What did you think of the show? Furthermore, what is your take on "The CW" as a network?

It had a small, but loyal following and there seems to be more of a focus on some of the mindless comedies, "Girlfriends", "The Game" and of course wrestling, than the good dramas that the WB had more solidly produced. There could/should have been a stronger integration of solid "WB" shows, other than this mish-mash of mediocrity that the UPN has brought to the table, with the exceptions of "Chris" and "Veronica". Yeah, bring back "Everwood" and "Reba" and what about the much touted "Aquaman". Although there is a fantasy/comic book premise to much of the "WB" based programs, they seem to seamlessly integrate current events and everyday real emotions and drama.

I liked the show but once it was moved to Sunday this week I knew it was done for. How can you put a show against Desperate Housewives and expect it to survive. It just showed the CW had no real interest in the show. I have a feeling they will cancel 7th Heavon soon. SAd to see a show I liked go.

Chris and The Game are funny, watch them occassionally, but How I Met Your Mother is the only sitcom I watch religiously. Have absolutely no interest in the model show or wrestling.

It is a very informative site which not only gives a detailed synopsis of each episode, but u can get tidbits on each character and their relationship to other characters. So please take a look so that u can catch up and start really enjoying this show.

And since I'm already off topic, I have another sidebar. The thing I was really disappointed with the creation of the CW network was saying good bye to the WB's website, I thought it was the BEST TV network site. I haven't really spent time at the CW site yet, been hanging out here instead...
