Big day over at the Fox Network.
They've cancelled the freshman crime drama “Vanished.” They issued a full order for "Til Death." And they’ve ordered six more episodes of "Standoff." And then there's that whole ratings-grabbing circus of that former pro-football star who is all but confessing to a murder.
Here’s what we've noticed: When “Kidnapped” was cancelled from NBC, there was a lot of press about the decision to play out the final episodes on the web. The media was all over this – and it’s a really good idea. Now…every cancelled show from the ’06 Deathwatch is available online at various sites. Including, by the way, the last four episodes of “Vanished.” Interestingly, though, Fox also plans to air the episodes on myspace.com.

As we move into the Midseason, we've grown more curious about the shows from the Fall 2006 Season that have already been given full orders.
Everyone who works on these shows are going to keep their jobs until next season and these shows will complete all of the episodes in the full 22-episode order. Those shows are:
“Men in Trees” (ABC)
“Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip (NBC)
“Jericho” (CBS)
“Brothers and Sisters” (ABC)
”Ugly Betty” (ABC),
“The Game” (CW)
“Heroes” (NBC)
“Shark” (CBS)
“Friday Night Lights (NBC)

Over 30,000 people logged on and voted in the Fall 2006 TV DeathWatch contest, which awarded 9 video iPods and a 37" Aquos flat screen television to voters who accurately predicted the cancelled shows of the 2006 Fall season. We’ll announce all the winners as soon as all the hoops have been jumped through.
Due to the overwhelming success of the Fall 2006 TV Deathwatch, BrilliantButCancelled.com has launched DeathWatch:Midseason Edition!
With new shows! New rules! And an iPod every week!
We’ve added 13 new shows to the roster, and taken off those that have either been cancelled, pulled from the air, or given full orders. We've also built in a glossary, so that you can make a more informed decision about your DeathWatch votes.
The new shows are:
In Case of Emergency (ABC) – Lori Laughlin leads this ensemble sitcom about high school friends reunited through tragedy.
Traveler (ABC) – three college friends plan a prank at a major New York City art museum that turns them into fugitives suspected of terrorism.
Big Day (ABC) – Like “24,” except that it’s a comedy, “Big Day” follows each hour of one couple’s wedding day.
Day Break (ABC) – Taye Diggs has to repeat the same day multiple times as he struggles to find out who framed him for murder.
Hidden Palms (The CW) – Troubled teen moves to idyllic Palm Springs and finds that it has a seedy underbelly.
Aliens in America (the CW) – Wisconsin Mom hosts a Pakistani exchange student.
Rules of Engagement (CBS) – David Spade and Patrick Warburton lead this ensemble sitcom about two couples and one swinging bachelor -- all dealing with the foibles of love.
3 Lbs (CBS) – Medical drama about a pair of neurosurgeons who have very different belief systems.
The Winner (Fox) – Rob Corddry, now successful, looks back to 1994 when he was 32, living with this parents, and best friends with a 13-year-old neighbor.
The Black Donnellys (NBC) – Good-boys-turned-bad drama about four brothers who get involved in organized crime.
Raines (NBC) – Jeff Goldblum as a homicide detective who solves murder investigations by imagining the victims are acting as his partner.
Andy Barker P.I. (NBC) – Andy Richter as an accountant turned Private Investigator.
The Singles Table (NBC) – Hour-long drama about five singles who meet at a wedding and vow to change their lives.

After it pulled in a 1.9 rating this past week, “Justice” was pulled from the air. The show, starring Victor Garber and Kerr Smith struggled to find an audience on Wednesday night, was moved to Monday nights, and then finally moved completely out of the schedule.
Fox says the show will produce the entire original 13-episode order, and that the rest of the series will air in December. We’ve listed it as “in a coma.” Prior to the news from Fox, the show was ranked number 7 on the DeathWatch, with odds of cancellation at 27:1.
In other DeathWatch news, NBC has placed a full order for "Friday Night Lights." The small town football drama has struggled to find ratings (a pitiful 2.7) against big ratings winners like "Dancing with the Stars" in its 8pm Tuesday timeslot. NBC has said that they will be sticking by the show, while they continue to find an audience for their other ratings-thirsty show, "30 Rock."
Before the full order was placed, "Friday Night Lights" was ranked at Number 4 on the DeathWatch, with odds of cancellation at 14:1.
