When we originally placed "Happy Hour" in a coma back in September, we never thought we’d hear from the boozy little sitcom again.
So, we had to admit our surprise when, last week, Fox actually brought it back from hiatus after the World Series aired. And on Thursday, it appeared as a lead-in to the Season Premiere of "The O.C."
But the miraculous recovery was short-lived. After that one return airing, Fox has now pulled the plug. Was it the 1.4 rating it received last week? The mediocre reviews? Whatever the cause, "Happy Hour" is really dead. We think.

I don't know why you were surprised. There was a press release on the last showing of Happy Hour some time ago (the one announcing all the time changes).
I sampled the show once - as I saw the sad viewers. I found it much better than "Till Death" which got all the comedy advertising from Fox. Happy Hour got none.
It was not very original, I won't cry for the loss, but still, Fox set it up to fail as it does with half its shows. (or any show that is not Prison Break of American Idol)

I just watched the November 17th story of Law & Order. It left me feeling as though I had just won an important case (and I'm not even a lawyer. Death Watch was a brillant piece of writing and I am sadened to hear, after that show, to hear that it's been canceled. The actors are wonderful, though I'm a bit prejudiced by Sam Waterston. This was a case where I felt wonderful when the show ended. Until I came to find that a show that could make me feel so good has been canceled.
