After premiering in September to a 3.6 rating in the 18-49yo demographic, the Ted Danson "shrink-who-needs-a-shrink" comedy quickly became the show that …well, everyone forgot. Our readers have posted some pretty scathing indictments, including this quote from DeathWatcher Heather, who wrote: "I seem to be more interested in the lives of the patients then in Ted Danson. I even prefer to watch it on tape so I can pass by those parts."
Ye-ouch. This seems to be most of the problem: even those of us who have been Danson fans for years find the show unwatchable.
"Help Me Help You" made its debut on the DeathWatch at position four, with odds of cancellation at 14:1. Eight weeks later, the show crept into the number one position, with odds of cancellation at 3:1. ABC announced it was removing the show from the air after it pulled down a 1.4 rating this past Tuesday night. The timeslot will be filled with ABC's latest comedy offering, "Big Day." No word on when or if the show will return.
We've deemed the show "in a coma." If you voted for the show this week, you're eligible to win a Video iPod!

Too bad but ABC really seemed to deliver an audience to the show -- right behind the huge Dancing with the Stars for several weeks. The audience just wasn't there.

I hope ABC gives this show a 2nd chance on a different night, this show has potential and needs some more time to grow.

I really like it. Why won't they let characters develop? It is hilarious

Ted Danson was the worst pick for this show. The other characters are hysterical, but his story line is irritating and ultimately what caused me to stop watching. Good show, but a bad, bad choice for the leading role.

I thought Ted Danson was great for the part. Egotistical, self-centered, pompous -- he played it great. I thought all the other characters were great too. I'm really upset it was cancelled.

I'm glad to here it may be canceled! This show was very offensive to the mentally ill. I mean, making fun of therapy isn't right... it saved my life.
