Voting for your favorite Idol is more important than voting for President! As if the ratings weren't enough, a recent poll (conducted by Pursuant, Inc., a Washington, D.C.-based polling firm) found that more than one-third of the American people think voting for their Idol counts more than voting for an American President. Meanwhile, Ellen recently interviewed Bill Clinton and the elder President Bush -- and ended by begging them to do something about Chris Daughtry getting the boot. Clinton’s response: "Even when we were in power, we didn't have that much power." –Chris Parker

You know how we have a elect college for president since most people don't know all the issues to vote for us in our states best interests and what not... well same thing should be done here. remember there are more stupid people in the world then there are smart. think about it how many people can sing vs how many people like listening

Why does everyone overlook the fact that people can vote multiple time for Idol. Just because "more votes were cast" doesn't mean more people voted. Also if people could vote from their couch for president we'd have diferent numbers. and another thing-90 percent of the "voters" on Idol aren't even old enough to vote for anything else.

Good call, Ginny. Plus, east coast people get more time to vote than west coast people. If the show airs at 8:00 Eastern, then at 8:00 Pacific (10:00 Eastern), and voting lasts AT LEAST 2 hours, then the people on the east coast can vote from 9:00 to 1:00 am, while the west coasters only vote from 11:00 to 1:00 am (eastern time).

What are the chances that a show called "HOT PURSUIT" which lasted one entire 8-episode season will ever be released on DVD? It starred Eric Pierpont (before "Alien Nation") and Kerry Keane. It was vaguely reminicent of "The Fugitive," but very different. The production values, the writing, the acting were magnificant, but nobody watched it. I would buy the DVD in a heartbeat!
