This show is the BOMB!!! Please dont cancel it:(

killing marissa was a mistake... now the show is basically ruined

Heather wrote:

The writing on that show has gone so down hill, you can set your watch to when the comercial brakes are going to happen. Let us not even get into the predictability of it.

Kristin wrote:

Unfortunately without Mischa, I'm affraid the show won't last long.

Megan wrote:

It really sucks that everyone thinks this show is over now that Mischa Barton left. The character of Marissa wasn't even that interesting anyway, it's Seth and Summer that make that show, and it still has a few years left in it if everyone will just let Marissa go.

Kayta wrote:

I love the showbut, I seriously cannot believe they killed Marissa off. I really do think the show is nothing without her. It just won't be the same. But, i hope it doesn't get cancelled. I may cry if it is. :'(

mischa barton is uglier than people let on, never watched the show won't miss it...

this show was amazing the first 2 seasons but by season 3, i lost all interest. it became completely predictable, lame, and just plain boring. with or without marissa the show sucks now and that's a shame cause i loved it when it first came out!

IT IS over now that marrissa is gone...and she is definately not ugly...we will always have the memories of the first 2 seasons on dvd and we all know we will watch UNTIL it is cancelled...you just cant help it

What happened to this show. I use to look forward to watching it every Thursday. It's getting so lame that I don't even care if I miss an episode or two... or three. The writers need to get their as*** in gear or my love, Adam Brody, will be unemployed by Christmas!!!

Okay, This show sucks. I am sorry for those of you that like it. But everything on that show is over dramatic. It will not last with everyone going off to College. Marissa was a waste of writing she cannot act. It is a good thing she is a model for Bebe all she has to do is stand there and do nothing. So good luck to the show I am praying for it to tank big time!! That will be a moment to celebrate!

NO! THEY CAN'T DO THAT!

I really look forward to watching OC every Thursday-they could still do a lot with it if they had the writers willing to do it. Then again I liked the Reunion and look how long that lasted!

Kate wrote:

I've been watching the OC since it's first airing. And I like it, still do. I like the way that the show is growing.
I think what most people on this message board are missing is that the OC is not a TV show. It's a primetime soap opera.
If you look at it that way then the shows predictability and the death of a main character can both be explained by it's genre.
Has anyone on here ever watched a soap? I can catch a soap like once a month and still be able to figure out what's going on. And main characters? Most die at least once and some ome back from the dead or as secret "nicer" twin because the actor is awesome.
The OC follows the soap drama patterns while still being a prime time show. It can be predicable, which I actually like because I will occasionally miss a show and it makes it easier to catch up, characters come and go, someone has come back from the dead (ie Sandy's ex-girlfriend), and finally a main character has been killed off.

Anyway, I thought you guys needed some clearity and I hope the show isn't cancelled.

Brian wrote:

haha, Lana, I totally agree. I can't wait to see this show go more rotten than it already is. So I can see my friends cry. Is that wrong of me?

Lindsey wrote:

THis show bites. Now we've got 50 million OC clones because of it.
Please...Cancel it!!!

Megan wrote:

i don't think that killing off marissa was a mistake and i don't think that it ruined the show. i think that it will be better without the drama that marissa brought.

Suellen wrote:

l really hope the show gets back to the rails it was on before season 3!! What happened? It was like one week FAB, the next week....whatever....
Marissa's character really didn't have anywhere else left go but die......tragically.......
l was a real fan but even l was bored by the end of last season...like, who cares??........actually l do!
Trully hoping they can pull the show out of it's current hole or the whole show doesn't disappear into the grave with Marissa!

Come on Seth, Ryan & Summer!!

Michelle wrote:

wow i cannot believe some of the comments you all have left, yall arent fans if you lose faith in the oc that quickly because marissa died. No other show has ever had me off my feet like this show, Im so freakin excited for the new season to start, it may be the last season but im staying a true OC fan until the very end.. and if your a true fan you will too

Jacks wrote:

Now that they killed off Marissa they might as well kill the show.

Kimberly wrote:

I love the O.C. I am so happy they killed off Marissa. Everyone has been getting tired of the show because they were sick of her whining and crying every single week. Now that shes gone, its time to get back to the fun and the characters that O.C. fans love.

Rob wrote:

Heh, I watched this show when it first came out for a few eps, and quit after Samaire Armstrong left. She rocked! Anyway, I was a little surprised the writers would kill off a main character....in the beginning they made it out to be all about Ryan and Marissa. If they had stuck to that formula the show might have worked better, y'know draw out the sexual tension and the attraction two or three seasons - make a payoff for viewers who stick thru the blossoming relationship, instead of plateauing right at the start and breaking them up and showing their misery or whatever (seemed like it just turned into sh!t after the first season.) Moral of the story: Hot blondes rock!

jon wrote:

lol basically marissa is going to be miraculously revived. the end.

Michael wrote:

I don't know what I think of the show anymore. During the first year, I didn't talk about anything other than the OC. It was amazing. Every character seemed so realistic even crappy ol' Marissa. I can't even describe how much the decline of the show has hurt me. They add a new character and then seven minutes later they're gone. It kills me! The show went down hill right when they began the second season. I blame all of this on boring old Lindsey. She played an instrument! I don't want to see that on TV. I hate her.

Lily wrote:

This show was reasonably good the first two seasons, but the third season brought stupid plots, seth and summer's idiotic antics and plans, like matchmaking people or whatever, and i got so sick of all the references to "the valley"! The only person i thought was hot was Johnny, but he died. Then Marissa started whining even more, and by the end i found myself not caring about these stupid characters. If you want to watch a good show, try to watch the full season of My So-Called Life on dvd with Claire Danes and Jared Leto. I have honestly never seen anything half as good as this, and Jared Leto makes Seth and Ryan look like they don't even deserve to breathe the same air as him. Best. Show. Ever.
