Completely unfunny and enough to make me cringe. Hopefully, something worth watching will take its place.

Not onyl do I like American Idol and Curb Your Enthusiam, and a various reality show here and there. I ALSO like Yes, Dear. I don't love it, but I like it. It wasn't the funniest or the cleverist sitcom, by far, but it was still enjoyable. For a shwo that lasted 6 season with meager ratings and low interest and that is syndicated in some areas (like mine) showing up to 4 different episodes a day, I;d say the cast was treated just fine in being allowed to produce 6 seasons considering the rating statistics of the show. Be thankful for what you got, it's amounts to about 5 more seasons than another network who wasn't asleep at the wheel would have allowed in today's extremely tempermental new series environment. That being said, I would like to reiterate, I DID like the show, so I am not slamming it, just presenting a little 'reality' into the flux.

Not a great loss. Not a really bad show, but it had nothing new in it to make it stand apart from any other family comedies from the years. Not even the kids were that cute in this one.
Now, Arrested Development - that's another story entirely! It should have been saved and sent out to die by FOX. What a waste and a damn shame!

I personally love Anthony Clark, I still say that on Brilliant but Cancelled should lay Boston Common which was an excellent show, but did not pick up the audience that it deserved. (Along with a sexual chemistry between the two stars which was thrown to the sweeps rating bonanza that is network television.) I think he'll be great for Last Comic Standing. Oh on the stand of Mike O'Malley, does noone remember Remote Control? I mean really, am I that old and bitter to have noone remember that show? Maybe I'm alone in this catagory, but in an age where MTV is slaughtered by retarded teens and their ADHD, it was a decent show, and held some great tallent like the likes of Dennis Leary, (Sweet god if Rescue Me is cancelled, I will go postal.) Colin Quinn (Yeah I know I'm pulling straws here.) and Adam Sandler (again pulling straws, but he still has a decent career). What I'm saying is there are funny people out there, yes it may not be the right venue (not sure if that's the right word for it), but does anyone remember a little known comedian named Dave Chappelle and a movie called Half Baked? It's the material that can move an commedian and move them either towards the stratosphere or plunge them deep in the points of obscurity. Don't judge Anthony Clark so hard, because some day he will find the right venue for his comedic tallent and we'll all laugh. Don't be so hard on the guy just because he was on a crappy sitcom.

To be nice, Yes, Dear was a very mundane, mediocre sitcom that you can pass the time by watching --not be entertained. In fact, I "discovered" this show in the last year or two by flipping through the channels in the middle of the night when I could not get to sleep. Before the end of each episode, I was sawing Zzzzs. I predict Anthony Clark's career to go the way of Norm MacDonald. Where is he now? That is not a slam. Those guys were around long enough to be able to make some very nice money. It is just that not everybody can be lucky like Adam Sandler by earning millions making sophmoric (sp?) movies.
Now that Y,D is history, it is time for another mediocre sitcom to go. I am referring to Still Standing. I think that is on CBS also. In fact, I'm ready to wipe out all the sitcoms where the main characters are hot chick married to fat pudgy "funny" guy. I'm including "King of Queens." Is that supposed to be funny? We all know it ain't reality.
Happy TV watching.

I thought it was a cute show, funny without sex and violence. I also liked "Everyone Loves Raymond". Although that monotone whining voice was grating and annoying the rest of the cast made the show. One show that desperately NEEDS to be canceled, I don't know why it was ever started in the first place, is "The Office". Don't need Ambien, just put on that show if you don't throw something at the TV first. I couldn't watch even 5 minutes of that one. I felt like I fell into a time warp where everything is going in slow motion. I think the writers, producers and cast must have a collective IQ of 60, especially if they actually think they're funny! "My Name is Earl" didn't grab me at first, but when I caught the concept of it, and tried to imagine someone actually trying to make ammends for past wrongs (especially using a list) I realized it had a new and fresh scenario and I actually like it now. Maybe it might even inspire someone into realizing that you get more out of doing good instead of bad.

Yes, Dear was a persistant underachiver which survived while better, more entertaining shows were left for dead. That's what bothers me. For example:
ABC clearly needs to show some programming execs the door.
1) Sports Night. created by Aaron Sorkin "West Wing" starring the most-talented cast on the network. ABC acted as if it had been foisted upon them and they were airing it "under protest."
2) Gideon's Crossing. Produced by "Heel & Toe", which has given us HOUSE, M.D. Starring Andre Braugher, Ruben Blades, & Rhona Mitra. Sentenced to Death airing opposite tough competition.
3)MDs. another medical drama, set in S.F. starring "Invasion's" William Fichtner and "Mummy" sidekick John Hannah. Setenced to death Wed. 10/9 opposite Law & Order.
4)EYES Tim Day vehicle - midseason replacement. Sentenced to Death opposite Law & Order & CSI NY.
5)NORM a.k.a. The Norm Show. Norm McDonald, Laurie Metcalf, Nikki Cox. Cancelled this to make room for garbage like Hope & Faith.
CBS meanwhile ran Out of Practice into the ground, because it was in the way of inferior shows starring Jenna Elfman & Julia Louis-Dreyfuss. Fine Actresses, Lousy Shows
NBC wrote the book on cancelling shows. But they prefer to disassemble them first, then cancel. The John Larroquette Show was the tutorial on how to create a sitcom success, then dismantle it. Apparently the concept of a recovering alcoholic disturbed them.
NBC acts as if they've wanted to cancel SCRUBS from the start, but have "renewed" under protest. Seems NBC hates good ratings or fan approval.
Similar disasters stories for NBC include Something So Right, Boston Common, & Veronica's Closet, along with 4 or 5 other shows each season since 1990.
FOX has no patience for programming. So far there the only network with two previously cancelled shows back from the dead. FAMILY GUY got the opportunity it deserved (That show lives a charmed life...it's creator would have perished on 9/11 had he made his plane.) Comedy Central is resurrecting FUTURAMA...
Perhaps FOX should stop scheduling shows at 7/6 Central Sundays during the NFL Regular Season as those games run long. I suspect several shows were doomed to cancellation because no one east of Denver ever saw them....

I found this show on syndication, I really only watch tv sporadically (I usually watch Japanese shows online). But I like it...it's not the greatest show ever...but it was good. There were episodes that literally made me laugh out loud, and I liked the cast (I didn't much pay the kids attention really). I'm sorry it's getting cancelled, but 6 seasons is respectable and they've already got syndication. It was nice to see a show that wasn't always trying to "shock" people or another one for the "cool" people who are too good for everything else. Sometimes, simplicity is nice.
So the one's who down it...just don't watch the two different networks it comes on daily.

Is everyone else out there out of touch with reality? Yes Dear dealt with some real issues and it ALWAYS made me laugh!!!!!!! I would look to see when it was on and try not to miss it. I'm VERY sad it's cancelled! It was a show that my kids & I could watch together. Now Fraiser...wouldn't shed a tear if they cancelled that boring lame show. HATE THAT ONE!!!
Also LOVED Reunion and would stay up late even if I had to lose sleep for work. Most of today's shows are too sexual, too serious and NOT family friendly. I would watch any show that had the cast of yes dear in it. Anytime. I will still search the t.v. guide for the show and watch it whenever it comes on.

I hated this show. I'm glad it's gone but I'm sure it will pop up everywhere in syndication. I haven't watched a network show since Frasier went off the air. Thank goodness for cable. I watch the reruns of Law and Order because I don't like the new people. I love The Closer and I watch Project Runway. However, if they don't get rid of Jeffery soon, that one is off my list. The rest of the time, we just watch our dvd's.

What with No story line, no real cast that you could enjoy it is no wonder it was yanked. Bad premise and no scripts worth watching it was doomed from the start. Lets all hope that CBS stops making shows like this. Please focus on good writing and a good cast and not an attempt to get a quick buck and produce a garbage show. Thank you CBS for pulling this lousy, brainless television show.

Well I must admit, I liked this show, it was a family friendly show that was cute and funny, not a Everybody loves Raymond, but it was so much better then the office, scrubs and other shows that are just stupid. At least this show relates to what could happen in life. If I wanted to watch a medical show with horny doctors I guess I would watch greys anatomy... I like more realistic medical shows, and the acting on office is so boring and slow I can't even stay awake, bring back Joey. Back to Yes Dear, my kids liked it and my wife and I could watch and enjoy, so whatelse should tv do for us. We don't watch any reality shows, the biggest fake fad ever since I began watching tv, if anyone thinks any of this is real, I have some property in Iceland for sale... give the show a break, it was a good entertaining show that deserves a finally at least.

I enjoyed, "Yes, Dear"! It was not the greatest but it was funny. I was glad when they brought it back, but the writting wasn't very good. Not good enough to keep it going. I was recently in Europe where we watched it in German and then in Italy and just happened to catch it in Itallian. We didn't really watch it because, hey, we were in Europe, but it was funny to see them speak in different languages! Cya, Susan

"Suddenly Susan" VS "Yes, Dear." Winner takes on "Hope & Faith." Winner takes on this season's STINKER "Happy Hour." You are priveleged to visit the official website and watch certain episodes. The 30 something characters all talk to each other like second graders and much of the talk is about "liking each other" and "body parts."
"Put this show to bed, it is getting late. I don't want the kids seeing this, it's a school night!"
"Yes, dear." Undeniably our winner

Yes Dear was never ground breaking or edgy or even the first to show anything new, but it was suprisingly funny. I would never seek out the show and make a point to watch it, but the other day I caught a rerun guest starring Bret Michaels. Yeah, that was hillarious. And where else can you find a show that let's it's star dance around with a wookie in a storage unit.

I really liked this show. As everyone else said you could watch it with your children. No shock value. It wasn't always about sex or serious topic. How anyone could even compare this show to Still Standing? Still Standing was an imitation of Roseanne. Parents being disrespectful. I was especially disgusted when the parents were so proud that their teenage son had sex in a foreign country. They wanted to fly the girl to visit him. All the men smoking cigars to help congratulate the dad that his son had sex. I also am over the age of 30, but younger than 40.

Im 26 years old and love the show. I started watching this show on TBS in February because I had free time and I always watch TBS. The first few times I liked Jimmy and Christine but I couldnt stand Greg. He was always so whiny and it drove me nuts. But then I saw a few more episodes and a few more episodes and I will say this show is absolutely hilarious. Theres only 1 show better for me and that was Seinfeld. So many episodes have made me literally laugh out loud and I rarely laugh out loud. Its witty humor that makes you think. The average american isnt too bright and loves Will Ferrel like comedy which is why this show wasnt as big. I grew to love the entire cast(Greg is hilarious). Its a shame to see it go but 6 seasons is lots of episodes to watch. The show really grows on you. If you dont like it at first, give it a chance because this really is a great show.

For those of you who thought Yes, Dear sucked, you obviously did not pay attention to the show...or gave it a chance.
Yes, Dear has had some of the funniest moments in sitcom history. Watching Tim Conway get attacked by monkeys in a hotel lobby's glass cage or watching Greg's first born walk on water in a video enhanced "baby's first steps" moment were two of the funniest moments I've ever witnessed on TV. I laughed out several times while watching Yes, Dear. Something I rarely do with most comedies. Liza Snyder rocked!
The guest stars were always a treat. With recurring roles from Vickie Lawrence, Tim Conway, Jerry Van Dyke and Dan Heyada.
I don't know the actresses name, but the woman who played Jimmy's mom with the 60's hair-do was brilliant. The dead grandmother episode was also much better than your average sitcom.
It might be nice for the people who quikly dismiss the show to actually watch it somtime.
Yes, Dear was much better than your average sitcom.

Well i for one thought the show(yes Dear) was hilarious and i know many people found the show to be very funny. I know others might not have like the comedy so much, but tomato, tamato... whats crap to one person is gold to another. I never ever liked the show everyone loves Raymond, i dont find it funny and and really just thought it was pointless, but then again look for how long that damn show ran for. Im just sad about the fact that the show was cancelled. I never really knew the timing to the show, when it was on, cuz so much crap is on tv these days its hard to even turn on the T.V. Well (wipes tear) im sad to see it gone.

Yes Dear was a great comedy. Different people like different types of comedy. Obviously enough people loved this comedy to keep it on the air for 6 seasons. Was it the most hilarious comedy ever aired? Probably not but every episode had something in it that made me laugh -- and I love a show that can make me laugh. I need to laugh and every now and then I turn to TV for some fun. I appreciate many different types of comedy shows and Yes Dear was just one of them. I'm thankful it is on syndication. I wish I could buy it on DVD. Lighten up!

The last boy to play Logan and was excellent. Dominac was also very good. I want to see more of Yes Dear!!!
