Washington's Crossing?

Is Isaiah Washington, former star of “Grey’s Anatomy”, coming to NBC? There are rumors that he may well be on his way.

Washington has been making headlines for months. Last fall, in an altercation on the set of “Grey’s Anatomy”, he reportedly called a cast member a derogatory name. Then, in an effort to quell the ensuing firestorm of bad press, he did a public service announcement, only to stir the drama up once more by commenting on the subject at this year’s Golden Globe Awards. Recently, he was let go from the show, ending a turbulent year on and off the set.

Now, though, it seems as though Washington may be back on the airwaves sooner rather than later, albeit on another network. While neither NBC nor Washington’s representative would comment, he did have preliminary meetings with the network. It is not clear at this time whether he would be hired onto the cast of an existing show, or asked to be part of a new project.
