Return of The Gladiator?

Fans of the cheesy sports entertainment show “American Gladiators” have reason to rejoice today… if only for a while.
The WWF-inspired sporting event—part staged wrestling drama, part obstacle course—was a favorite of the ‘90s, and has since been revitalized as part of a re-run series on ESPN Classic. But now, Ben Silverman, the newly appointed head of programming at NBC, might make a push towards a new and improved “American Gladiators”.
At a press conference on Monday, Silverman announced that a revised version of the campy hit might be making its way to NBC. But will it be full of tanned muscles, teased hair, and lots of names like “Turbo” and “Lace”? We’ll make them all run the gauntlet if it isn’t.
