Prison Break on Lam

June 28, 2006

Now that the characters are out of the slammer, the show's production is on the loose. It became too expensive and time consuming to shoot in rural Illinois so they jumped ship for … Dallas. The Joliet Correctional Center, ground zero for Season One, was perfect then, but now that the boys are free the studio needs to show them in a
distant local, while also having access to a city. The generic look of Dallas also made the fear of inconsistencies subside. So our Penn-hopping hotties are now down South, and someone should remind them there's no moratorium on the death penalty in the Lone Star State…. -- Chris Parker

Pepper Dennis Squashed

June 27, 2006

Maybe Pepper aka Rebecca Romijn should have paid more attention to her bossy boss. Due to low ratings, the WB cut the comedy from it's new CW line-up. Too bad, many people who would never watch anything on that network have tuned into watch this parody of television news.

24 Hours? Six Months!

The creators of the heart pumping "24" are teaming up with Ray Ramono for another deadline oriented show. The not-yet-titled show tells the tale of a billionaire who has six months to live. HBO has asked for 10 episodes, so let's assume some division of 10 into six and we probably
know they length of each episode.

Phoebe Back With NBC

Well Phoebe may have turned-in her massage table, but Lisa Kudrow
hasn't stopped working out the kinks. Apparently after her "Comeback" was anything but, and HBO said "so long" to the former-Friend, she's relocated her production company, Is or Isn't Entertainment, to NBC.

The company was based at Warner Bros. The return to NBC means they have first rights to any of her projects. While I clearly remember a guest on an NPR show last year obsessively telling Terri Gross how amazing Kudrow and her company are, I have to say she may be setting the network up for another "Joey"-esk flop. As is true with most ensemble casts, together you stand divide you ...

Back to the Futurama

align=Four years into the future and "Futurama" will be back on the boobtube. The ever-savvy Comedy Central purchased the syndication rights from Fox. The Matt Groening and David X. Cohen production will debut on its new frequency with the 72 episodes already in circulation and the first new episodes since the shows demise in 2003.

Rumor has it that there are 13 new episodes in the works.

Maury Madness

Defamer brought to our attention this odd pickle-themed "Maury" video. This is hard-hitting journalism at its best. Think Peabody. This is why Connie married a man with integrity, a man looking to help others … back on stage.
