Although spring has just arrived, I’m going to fast-forward a couple of seasons for a quick perusal of new fall 07’-08’ shows. It’s never too early for a look at the major networks’ latest attempts to engage America. Be prepared to witness the making of new TV stars, comebacks of old premises, and the arrival of some hits.

For next fall, networks are debuting familiar stories based on books or movies. Candace Bushnell, of “Sex and the City fame,” has one culled from her book, “Lipstick Jungle,” premiering on NBC. The series will star Brooke Shields and Kim Raver, from “The Nine.” In addition, this year’s green light tally winner, ABC has a pilot based on Doug Liman’s hit movie “Mr. And Mrs. Smith.”
Other re-used story lines include: NBC’s updated remake of “The Bionic Woman” and Fox’s take on the “Terminator” in “Sarah Connor Chronicles.” Also, Shonda Rimes’s has a “Grey’s Anatomy” spin-off for ABC.
The Brits serve as inspiration for pilots such as ABC’s “Football Wives,” taken from the popular “Footballers’ Wive$” in England.

Re GREY"S ANATOMY 2 Hr Special.
Yucch! weakest show to date. As hot as Addie is, her new show is totally lacking of interest. Further mre the Grey;'s portion of that show was wweak as well, The effort was diluted because they writers were spread too thin. Stick to the main show and tell ADDIE to get back to SEATTLE GRACE H as quick as she can.

The 2-hour Grey's Anatomy was disappointing, with too much filler and Addie's sojourn to, and into, the L.A. world was a spoiler. Mainly, the show went off in too many directions which weakened every one of them. And I love this show! Hopefully this was a one-time goof.

Zachary Quinto should be on this ' actors to watch list'. I cannot believe they hid him away on so noTORIous for so long.
As far as the new season goes, I have little hope. Lucy Liu is pretty cool though, but at this point, I'm only interested if it has a kill bill vibe. Oh, I just looked it up, and it doesn't. A girl can dream though...

If there's anyone out there who finds Ray Stephenson (Titus Pullo) from ROME smokin' hot like I do, write CBS about his show, BABYLON FIELDS. It's about this sleepy little town where all of the dead come back to reclaim their former lives. It's on the bubble. SAVE IT! PLEASE! Write CBS!
Other than that, TV is a festering, ignorant wasteland. CBS is equally guilty-- They're rehashing a show they had on 15 years ago called FOREVER KNIGHT. Now they're calling it "Midnight".

I'm with you Mike. Just when I thought I would have something to watch on Mondays, Fox go and do something like this. I was truly intrigued with the whole concept of Drive...sorry to see it's gone!!!
