Paula Abdul joins the ranks of an illustrious group of MTV video stars who found success in followup TV series. We ranked them as follows:

12. Bobby Brown and Whitney Houston are still quoted from their unforgettable 2005 BEING BOBBY BROWN series.

11. Britney Spears and K-Fed brought America very up close and personal into their warts and all relationship on UPN's. CHAOTIC: BRITNEY and KEVIN

10. Queen Latifah demonstrated U.N.I.T.Y of a different sort as one of the quartet of girlfriends on FOX's LIVING SINGLE. She also had her own talk show.

9. LL Cool J was just passed over for a CBS Fall drama, but he already has his TV series stripes as the lead of NBC's IN THE HOUSE.

8. Tommy Lee became arguably more successful than his Motley Crue days as the star of NBC's TOMMY LEE GOES TO COLLEGE and subsequently last season of CBS' ROCK STAR.

7. Cyndi Lauper followed huge success in the 80s as an Emmy winning semi-regular on NBC's MAD ABOUT YOU.

6. Ice T made everybody forget about his roots as a gangsta rapper singing "Cop Killer," portraying a cop on the long-running NBC's LAW and ORDER SVU.

5. Flavor Flav reinvented himself as a as a triple threat reality star stealing Vh1's SURREAL LIFE, and then spinning off into two more vehicles, STRANGE LOVE (with Brigitte Nielsen) and FLAVOR of LOVE 1 and 2.

4. Hair metal-turned-sort of-country singer Jon Bon Jovi parlayed small roles in a series of movies to a multi-episode romantic storyline arc opposite Calista Flockhart on FOX's ALLY McBEAL.

3. Nick Lachey and Jessica Simpson energized their image from fading TRL teen idols to a charming, ill-fated married couple on MTV's NEWLWEDS: NICK and JESSICA.

2. Ozzy Osbourne invented the celebrity reality genre as the bumbling rocker dad on MTV's classic THE OSBOURNES.

1. Will Smith is the only MTV video star to transcend from a beloved sitcom star of NBC's FRESH PRINCE to becoming an Oscar nominated mega-movie star.
